Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operational
Learning Program Manager to lead the development and execution of
learning and training initiatives across our food manufacturing
operations. Client Details This specialty food manufacturer is
known for its high standards in quality, craftsmanship, and
innovation, producing indulgent, premium products enjoyed by
consumers nationwide. Description The key responsibilities for the
operational L&D manager for the food manufactuer in Oakland, CA
are: Design, implement, and continuously improve structured
training programs for production, maintenance, quality, and
sanitation teams. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders
(Operations, Maintenance, Quality, HR, CI) to assess training needs
and align learning plans with business and performance objectives.
Lead the development and rollout of TPM training modules, including
Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and focused
improvement techniques. Standardize onboarding and cross-training
for hourly team members and frontline leaders. Manage and optimize
the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accurate tracking of
certifications, skills development, and training compliance.
Support TPM pillars by creating capability matrices and
facilitating shop floor coaching and audits. Measure training
effectiveness through data analysis (KPIs, OEE, downtime trends,
safety incidents, audit results). Build internal capability through
train-the-trainer programs and certification pathways. Ensure
training content aligns with all applicable food safety, regulatory
(GMP, HACCP, FSMA), and safety standards. Profile A Operational
Learning Program Manager for the food manufactuer in Oakland, CA
will have: 5 years of experience in training, learning &
development, or operational excellence in a food, beverage, or CPG
manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience supporting or
implementing TPM programs -especially in a production or
maintenance learning context. Bachelor's degree in Industrial
Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, Human Resources,
or related field. Strong understanding of manufacturing systems,
processes, and KPIs (OEE, yield, downtime, etc.). Working knowledge
of GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards. Experience with LMS
platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, SAP SuccessFactors, Docebo).
Excellent facilitation, communication, and project management
skills. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Not for New
