Year Up is seeking a dedicated IT Job Training Program
Instructor to join our mission in bridging the opportunity divide.
As a vital component of our educational team, this role involves
delivering a cutting-edge curriculum and providing mentorship to
young adults. Our program equips participants with the required IT
skills and experience needed to thrive in dynamic professional
environments. Instructors at Year Up not only teach but also
inspire and help shape the future of our students through a unique
blend of intensive learning and real-world experience. Develop and
deliver a comprehensive IT curriculum that includes software
development, network administration, and cybersecurity. Mentor and
guide students through challenging coursework and help them apply
concepts during internships. Evaluate student progress and provide
constructive feedback to ensure they meet program competencies.
Collaborate with academic staff and industry professionals to
update the curriculum and incorporate the latest technologies and
best practices. Assist in the recruitment and selection process of
new students by conducting interviews and review application
materials. Strong knowledge of IT concepts including programming,
database management, and systems analysis. Proven ability to teach
complex subjects clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills. High
level of organization and attention to detail for handling
curriculum planning and student assessment. Preferred:
Certification in CompTIA A, Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA), or similar credentials.
