Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational
Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of
Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based
Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available in Fernley,
NV, to support students with individualized needs. This contract
position involves providing specialized OT services tailored to
students Individualized Education Program (IEP) plans.
Responsibilities include: Delivering occupational therapy services
as outlined in students IEPs, addressing fine motor skills, sensory
processing, and functional independence within the school
environment. Providing compensatory OT services, especially for one
student requiring an initial increase in service minutes (450
minutes) to support their progress, followed by ongoing maintenance
of approximately 90 minutes per month. Serving a new student
requiring 60 minutes of OT monthly, totaling roughly 150 minutes of
monthly services. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and support
staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom
activities. Monitoring student progress and documenting outcomes in
compliance with school and legal requirements. Qualifications and
Experience: Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience working in educational or school-based settings,
understanding IEP processes and goals. Strong communication and
collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families,
and school teams. Ability to manage time efficiently to accommodate
varying service minutes and student needs. Commitment to
student-centered care and supporting educational success through
