Job Description Job Description Operations Supervisor - Industrial Manufacturing Title: Operations Supervisor - Industrial Manufacturing (Bio-Fuel) Location: Janesville, WI (ON-SITE ROLE) Salary: $80,000-$85,000/Year Benefits and 25% Bonus Requirements: 5 Years of Plant Operation Experience with Leadership in past roles. Experience working within an Industrial plant (preferably Oil/Gas/Bio Fuel) would be preferred, but not needed. Experience working with Electrical Systems and a strong understanding of Mechanical Systems and Troubleshooting will be required, as well as the ability to read blueprints & other technical documents. What You Will Be Doing The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring safety, quality, efficiency, schedules, budget, housekeeping, and required documentation, including supervision of department employees and coordination of daily activities. Responsible for biogas collection operations and maintenance duties at assigned farms. Direct tasks to technicians in daily activities with a goal of optimizing facility operation. Manage staff schedules to stay in compliance with biosecurity requirements. Responsible for grounds and regularly scheduled equipment maintenance coordination. Support technicians during maintenance projects on major mechanical equipment. Oversee safe work practices, including lock-out/tag-out, confined space permits, and the use of proper personal protective equipment. Perform annual appraisals of direct reports. Procure tools and equipment necessary to complete work tasks. Enforce company policies and procedures. Maintain staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, and training employees; counsel and discipline employees; perform annual appraisals of direct reports. Work closely with EHS and HR departments. Travel domestically between domestic projects and to the St. Louis headquarters (up to 20%). Develop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations. Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner, and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements. Assist and/or operate facilities as needed. What You Need for this Position High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Prefer five (5) years of Plant Operation experience. Supervisory experience is preferred but not required. The ability to read blueprints and other technical documents is required. Ability to properly train new employees in biogas processing plant operation. Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as initiative and the ability to delegate decision-making and other responsibilities. Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and issues. Must work well under pressure. Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting is required. Ability to read and understand schedules and basic business acumen is required. Computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required. Must be able to learn additional software; SharePoint, Ignition, MaintainX, GoCanvas, etc. Strong math skills are required. High level of energy and motivation. Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment. Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean MVR.
