quality and affordable coffee product.Job Summary:The Maintenance
Manager leads a team of maintenance individuals within a
manufacturing department to drive success in the key focus areas of
safety, quality, and performance. Provides directional goals,
development opportunities and feedback to direct reports and
frontline mechanics resulting in the ability to meet daily
production requirements and assignments, safe equipment operation,
and quality control components for the production facilities.
Additionally, works on projects/activities supporting company
goals, operations continuous improvement initiatives, and business
unit/manufacturing strategies and objectives.General
Responsibilities:
- Manages and empowers a team of Maintenance and Facility
Technicians to ensure positive turnaround times on quality repairs
and maintenance.
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates the activities of workers
engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines,
tools, and equipment.
- Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures
designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and
effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities for staff and
schedules repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines,
tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production
operations.
- Develops preventive maintenance programs and policies to ensure
safety of all equipment and machinery.
- Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports
and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Purchases equipment, spare parts, and tools as necessary for
projects and to maintain proper spare part inventory levels.
- Aids Engineering with equipment layout and workflow considering
production labor, material costs, work schedules and reduce
wastage.
- Evaluates and improves manufacturing processes by studying
product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and
testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with
equipment vendors and soliciting observations from operators.
- Prepares department budgets and monitors expenditure of funds
within budget.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with
government regulations.
- Manages and improves the preventive maintenance program.
- Keeps equipment and site operational by coordinating
maintenance efforts and repair services.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge through
continuous training.
- Work with production management to problem solve activities for
site.Education/ Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ yrs. experience in manufacturing and/or
maintenance
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
- Established knowledge & skills in using Mills, Band Saws,
TIGs
- Established knowledge & skills with Electrical, Pneumatic,
Plasma Cutting, Welding & Fabrication
- Good interpretive and/or reactive skills
- Experience in project management, strategic planning, and
execution
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating and change
management
- Willingness to work flexible schedule
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality work and
simultaneously manage several projects
- Manufacturing environment experience a must
- Forklift experience a plus
