Job Title: RN (L&D) Labor & Delivery - (Travel / Local) Location Options: Modesto / Fresno / San Fransico / Salinas, CA Assignment Length: 3 Months (possibility of extension) Shift: Days & Nights Both are Available (12-hour Day Shift) Days: 7 AM – 7 PM Night: 7 PM – 7 AM Schedule: 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts) Pay Rate: $80 - $85/hour. on W2 Available Departments: L&D Department Note: STIPEND IS ALSO PROVIDED TO THE CANDIDATE LIVING MORE THAN 50 MILES FROM THE FACILITY. REFERRAL BONUS ON EACH SUCCESFUL REFERRAL. Job Duties: · Monitor maternal and fetal well-being through physical assessments, fetal monitoring, and vital signs. · Assist and support patients through labor, including administering medications (e.g., epidurals, oxytocin), pain management, and emotional support. · Prepare for and assist during vaginal or cesarean deliveries, ensuring sterile technique and readiness of equipment. · Monitor and provide care for the mother and newborn immediately after delivery, assessing for complications. · Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies such as preeclampsia, haemorrhage, or fetal distress. · Educate patients and families on labor processes, newborn care, and postpartum recovery. Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and care teams. · Accurately document care provided, assessments, and patient responses in the medical record. · Follow hospital protocols, infection control, and safety procedures to ensure quality care.
