visiting, center-based and school-based services to children and
families in their communities and offers assistance that is
client-centered, trauma-informed, and reflective of best practice

Impact The Father Child Specialist (FCES) is responsible for
conducting outreach and engagement and enrollment activities to
African American and Black fathers with a pregnant partner or
infant and toddler up to age one. The FCES also facilitates
evidence based parenting classes, provides case management,
planning and hosting activities, events and workshops. Your Skills
and Duties Develop and implement outreach and engagement campaigns
that results in AA/Black fathers enrolling in the Fatherhood
project.Create space and opportunities for new African
American/Black fathers to learn about parenting young
children.Develop and host father-child engagement events,
activities, workshops, support groups, and parenting
classes.Facilitate 12-week parenting class series.Provide case
management inclusive of resource, referral and linkage to
services.Work collaboratively with Antioch First 5 Center staff to
provide joint activities and transition Fatherhood clients to the
Center.Strengthen their social supports and encourage them to
become part of a strong parent community.Maintain records, collect
data, prepare reports and conduct work utilizing a data system;
monitor attendance, participation, and evaluation of
services.Complete program and administrative paperwork per
guidelines; ensure compliance with program, funder, and regulatory
policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Education
and Work Experience AA Degree in Early Childhood Education OR
working towards AA Degree in Early Childhood Education with minimum
of 12 ECE units completed.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in
the field of family support and/or early childhood.Experience
working with African American/Black fathers in an in-home or center
based services desired.Meets all state required conditions of
employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed
Community Care facility, i.e. fingerprinting and child abuse index
clearance, TB/health physical, valid CDL and clean driving
