Surgical Tech Location: Walnut Creek, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,586 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Operating Room Technician Profession: Operating Room Technician Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the operating room License: N/A Certifications: BCLS required, ACLS/PALS/CNOR preferred Must-Have: Strong experience in general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and arthroplasty procedures. Description: The position is for an Operating Room Technician in a surgical environment. The technician will be responsible for scrubbing cases, reviewing resource maps, opening instruments for procedures, and selecting sutures. Ancillary staff such as surgical services assistants are available to assist with patient positioning, transportation, and equipment gathering. The facility operates 24/7, providing a range of surgical services. The average case load is approximately 25 cases per day. The candidate should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and assertive. Experience with EPIC charting and orthopedic procedures is preferred. The facility does not perform open-heart procedures, so experience in that area is not necessary. Professional appearance is required, including dress code adherence. All staff members should exhibit professionalism in demeanor and attire. Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory, with specific requirements for major holiday coverage.
