Job Description Job Description Rehab Technician - Per Diem*
*IMPORTANT NOTE: In lieu of benefits due to "per diem" status, 15%
will be added to the hourly rate. Per diem employees are offered
work on an "as-needed" basis. POSITION SUMMARY: Performs general,
technical and non-technical duties; assists Occupational, Physical
and Speech Therapists in positioning, lifting, transferring and
treatment of patients. Maintains equipment and facilities. Follows
treatment flow sheets, participates in assigned activities for
Swing Bed residents. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education: High
School Diploma or equivalent required (or must acquire within 12
months of hire). Minimum Work Experience: Ability to communicate
with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a
courteous and professional manner. Experience and knowledge in
rehab therapeutic exercises and physical modalities preferred.
Certificate Required: American Heart Association BLS certificate
required. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Patient Assistance Assists
patients with Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy treatments.
Prepares treatment areas and equipment. Provides assistance with
Outpatient treatments. Exercises, functional mobility, modalities
Office Supplies Assists with care of departmental equipment and
supplies. Treatment Supplies Maintains established levels of
linens, towels, washcloths, ultrasound massage cream, hot pack
covers and treatment related supplies Competence Consistently
demonstrates competence when providing treatments to patients.
Adheres to the directions and recommendations by the supervising
therapist. Activity Program Provides patients and residents with
