Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for the timely preparation of food items
according to set recipe specifications in a clean, safe, and
sanitary environment. This position is also responsible for
preparing food for one or more service areas, such as the trayline,
cafeteria, cafeteria grill, deli, catering, etc. This is the fully
operational level for this series. The Cook is responsible for the
setup and preparation of items for all Food Services, according to
recipes to meet Department standards. The Cook requires previous
training and/or experience in food preparation techniques. Apply By

Department OverviewThe primary purpose of the Joint Venture
Rehabilitation Hospital is to provide a full range of
rehabilitation services designed to restore patients to their
optimal functional capacity. The hospital is a 52-bed
rehabilitation hospital on the Sacramento Medical Center campus. It
is equipped with leading-edge amenities and adaptive units where
patients can practice typical activities of daily living. The
rehabilitation hospital also includes a 12-bed brain injury unit
and four private rooms for bariatric patients. POSITION INFORMATION
